Bone Thugs-N-Harmony Goal #2 ✔

January10, 2013 I completed goal #2! I managed to hit up 5 concerts one year!
A couple weeks ago I went to the Bone Thugs concert at The Observatory In Santa Ana. The show was epic! All original 5 members were in attendance. To top it off, I was able to get a spot in the front row. What made it even more special was that I went with my best friend of almost 10 years. I’ve been through a lot with this girl. Some of the songs brought back good memories of my high school years. I’ll never forget it!

Murs in concert

So last week I completed number 4 out of 5 mini goals on my Day Zero Project. Goal two on my DZP is to attend 5 concerts, yesterday I went to concert number 4! One of the things on my Christmas list was tickets to see underground hip-hop artist Murs. I didn’t think I would actually get them but come Christmas morning, I was in for a treat. I opened up the box, looked in the envelope and there they were. My mom and dad had gotten me two tickets to his show at the House Of Blues in Anaheim. I was so excited to finally see him live!
The show was amazing. He had a few rappers open up the show. One of them really caught my eye. I loved his energy and his music. I had never heard of him before that night but he sure made it to my top 5 favorites! Curtiss king is his name. His lyrics were so real. He wrote the songs he had performed and I loved all of them. They were songs from the heart.
Then came the time for Murs to come out. He came or full of energy. Jumping up and down. I can’t explain it. The energy he brought on stage spread throughout the crowd. While he was doing his last song I decided to head up to where tyre other artist were. I figured he would be coming up soon so I wanted to line up and try to get a picture with him.
It paid off to leave early because I got an autograph and a picture! People who don’t know who he is or don’t know his music wouldn’t think much of it but to me it meant a lot. His music got me through tough times. I was honored to meet him. It was a great way to end my year!

Goal 5…check!

So over the weekend I got to check off another goal from my DZP list! Funny thing is, it wasn’t even planned, it was more of a random adventure. I finally found the time to drive up to the Griffith Observatory during a Sunday trip to LA, thanks to my best friend and her sister.

The sight was absolutely beautiful, despite the smog hovering over the city.

Here are some pictures I took.

Enjoy..

The color run

Over the weekend my cousin and some friends did a 5k race called The Color Run. After seeing the pictures I decided that I’m so doing this as part of my DZP goals list. I will probably continue to do this even after I complete my dzp goal because it just looks fun! I can’t believe I haven’t heard of this before! Trip to Vegas crosses off two goals!

Goal 91 and 99 are now off my list! Goal 91 was to go to the top of the Eiffel Tower and boy was it an amazing view!  I am a bit claustrophobic so the ride up in the elevator was a little uneasy but once I got to the top it was the best feeling ever. You can see the whole strip and it was the best view of the Bellagio fountains. Now goal 99 was to watch the Bellagio fountains. I’ve been to Vegas before but never really watched the fountains. This time I made sure to catch the show. I got to see the fountains twice this weekend, once in the day from the Eiffel Tower and once at night up close. Both views were great but if had to chose a time to go, it would be at night from the Eiffel Tower. Everyone should see this at least once in their life because it’s absolutely beautiful! I’ve got some pictures to share…enjoy!

Goal 16: visit any kind of Mayan ruins and Goal 57: travel to another country

Back in August I took a family trip to Cancun, Mexico, where I was able to complete two of my DZP goals! One goal was to actually travel to another country, that was goal 57. The second goal was to visit any of the Mayan ruins. We took a tour of the ruins at Tulum which was also a pre-columbian city built by the Mayan civilization. The place was amazing. To think that people built all those buildings with nothing but hand made tools. Some of the most
intelligent people built the strongest buildings that continue to stand even today.
Here are some pics. Enjoy!

Two more goals down…

Goals 26 and 27 are done! Goal 26 was to get a passport, and i finally got one due to my upcoming trip to Cancun, Mexico! Super exited! And goal 27 was to upgrade my phone. Finally did that.

Etiwanda Falls

Added another hike to my list! woohoo! Hit up Etiwanda Falls in Rancho Cucamonga this past weekend and the weekend before with my best friend and her sister. I was dying both times on the way up, more the second time since we got hit with a heat wave (not good). Once I got to the top I forgot about the hike up. The creek and waterfall made me forget everything. It is so beautiful up there. If you are in the area I suggest you take the hike up to the waterfalls, you wont regret it. A lot of the hike is somewhat steep so be careful.

Bike mission to the beach

GOAL 11: Well another thing crossed off my DayZero Project list! I took a 20 mile ride to the beach from my bestfriend’s place. Had some difficulties on the way there but I’m happy to say I actually made it, to the beach and back home.

LA Pride 2012

I hit up LA Pride this weekend, of course traffic was HORRIBLE. Left late but eventually got there!! LoL. It was way better than my first LA Pride. The first time it was crowded, you could nearly walk. This time there was more room. It was bigger and more organized. My main reason of going this year was to see Dev. For those who don’t know who she is, she was first featured on a song with The FarEast Movement, “Like A G6”.  I love this woman’s style of music, electro/ dance music. It just picks up my day. I don’t know if i should count this as a concert, I guess I can, but i will surely cross one more pride event off my list!
